LizAnne & Reed’s wedding day was one I will always remember. Not only did they transform a blank piece of land in their wedding plantation, but, as blueberry farmers, they served the most amazing homemade blueberry wine! This was a southern/vintage/glam celebration in one, with so many amazing touches designed by our wedding designer friend Emily Burton Designs. The hair and makeup was also done by another vendor friend of ours, Paulina Perez…. and together, we all made this a gorgeous wedding day that we are excited to be published today on the popular wedding blog, Style Me Pretty! Here’s a sneak peak of the showcase, but click here to view the rest of the details!
In addition to our wedding photography business, the past 6 months have been crazy busy launching our new website design business. God has blessed us with some amazing clients to serve in this other creative outlet we are enjoying. This week we launched a new site for someone who played a huge part in our very own wedding in 2011!
At the time of our engagement, I got a random email from a girl in Chicago who introduced herself as a wedding photographer who also does wedding stationary. I had seen beautiful wedding stationary over the years being a wedding photographer myself, but when I checked out her portfolio and saw all the hot pink glitter in her portfolio… I knew she was my girl to implement all things fabulous for my paper needs for our wedding! And that girl was Jessi Cabanin, owner of the fabulous wedding stationary boutique, Just Invite Me.
The thing is, I had no idea what I wanted in my wedding stationary… as creative of a person as I try to be, when it comes to papery things, I’m lost. I told Jessi a little bit of what I liked, and next thing I know, she sent me back drafts reading exactly in my mind of what I wanted, yet didn’t know I wanted. I was so super impressed with how she just “got” me and my style, and her professionalism along the way in executing it all each step along the way. Working with Jessi and being surprised by her fabulous designs was one of my favorite parts of being bride, and a huge part that I couldn’t wait to show off on Stephen and my’s wedding day!
Fast forward to today… Jessi hired our design company Remix Design and Media to remix her branding and help her get a shopping cart where she could sell her glamorous stationary online more easily. We took a previous flash site that wasn’t functional on mobile devices and upgraded Jessi to a website/blog/shopping cart in one. With a whole new look to her branding we designed for her, we’re excited to announce the launch of her site today! Go give her some love at www.justinviteme.com!
If you are a ***BRIDE*** looking for amazing wedding stationary, I highly recommend Just Invite Me!
Below is her inspiration board I created that got the dreaming off the ground for the new direction she wanted to be remixed.
And the final results of what became her website from it all!
When you talk to Kacy about her love story, she is one of those that will be quick to tell you that true love is worth the wait, even if it means waiting until your 30s to get married. Having been a bridesmaid in many weddings, including ours, she now finally got her turn to be the bride as she waited all these years for her own special wedding day. She and Ross started as coworkers turned friends many years ago. Though it took a few years of being friends before realizing something more was there between them, once they recognized that love connection, they were engaged about 8 months later, and married 6 months after that. Kacy and Ross share most importantly a love story that starts with both of their first True Loves, building their love on the foundation of God’s love. For their wedding day, they wanted their ceremony to be more about glorifying God than anything else. Their ceremony started with their ring bearers carrying two crosses down the aisle followed by a love letter pre-recorded of Kacy’s voice echoing over the crowd surprising Ross with how he was her greatest answer to prayer.
Their day was filled with other fun surprises such a flash mob half way through the reception starting with the bridesmaids breaking out in dance, and then more of the guests jumping up and joining the pre-planned choreographed dance.
For this wedding, while Stephen also shot as normal, I pulled double duty playing wedding photographer and a bridesmaid. One of the first weddings I ever shot, I did the same, and swore I would never do it again… but then, you just make exceptions for best friends. After all my years of shooting weddings, it was fun to get to jump in a few bridesmaids shots as I celebrated this special day with my friend now living out her happily ever after too!

Lorenza and Justin first met years ago at work, and it wasn’t until work took them to live in London that they reconnected and got to know each other better, both sharing a passion for the financial world. At their wedding in St. John, during the toasts, Justin candidly told his guests, “I knew when I met a woman who could quote back to me all the stock symbols, that I had met the one!” Lorenza and Justin also share a passion for travel, and since London, together they have ventured around the world to exotic places like Singapore, Bali, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Thailand, India, Italy, and anywhere they can find a good diving spot. It was down in the U.S. Virgin Islands where Justin got down on one knee and proposed to Lorenza, and is now where they celebrated their wedding as well. They got married at the beautiful Caneel Bay Resort with deer, donkeys and iguanas roaming around, and were joined by family friends from all over the world who they have met along the way on their travel adventures. When you think of paradise, their ceremony backdrop was exactly that, and an absolutely perfect day full of lots of love, tears and laughter.

Not only have we had the privilege to photograph Virginia’s graduation photos, we’ve had the privilege to also get to know Virginia’s heart over the years. Originally meeting through our wonderful bride Courtney and her wedding, Virginia is a girl after God’s heart who is on a mission through her studies to enhance kitchen efficiency in restaurants. With a passion for all things design including systems that can enhance the way a business is run, she’s hoping to make a difference in her future as a consultant for creating improved kitchen lines. In the meantime, as part of her future before she wraps up her studies at Auburn University, she’s getting ready to leave for Italy to study abroad, and before she left, she wanted to have her senior graduation photos done. Is it just me or does her smile remind you of a Kate Hudson clone? Knowing Virginia personally, her smile truly is a beautiful reflection of her heart.
