Cindy & Mike are married! // Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Wedding Photographer

One night in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Cindy and Mike met through mutual friends and hit it off instantly! While her personality is what Mike loves best about Cindy, Cindy will tell you about Mike, “I love everything about him! He is perfect.”  From Michigan to now living in Florida, Mike took Cindy down to St. Augustine and asked her to be his bride, and they began planning their wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island.  With family visiting from all over the Caribbean, they loved Amelia Island as a gathering place for everyone to come together as one.  What turned out to be an extra foggy day, it didn’t stop their day from turning out just as perfect as Cindy feels about Mike.

Here’s some of our favorites below and the amazing vendors we worked with!

Love the outdoor night shots! Beautiful!

One of our weddings was showcased on 20/20 & Good Morning America!

Over the weekend, we received a special surprise that our clients’ wedding, Jen & Steve, was showcased first on ABC’s Good Morning America & then later that night on 20/20.  Like, wait, what, rewind?  One of OUR weddings?  We worked with an amazing cinematographer and good friend, Ray Roman, who was asked to submit some recent wedding footage for a big special they were doing on weddings, and we were excited to hear their wedding made the cut.  Further, in the footage, we totally caught Stephen in the background of them dancing at their reception.  This was such a fun surprise and we’re so excited for Jen & Steve.  Then again, we always knew they were superstars!

Here’s Stephen on television!

Kacy & Ross are engaged! // Jacksonville Engagement Photographer

Ross vividly remembers the day he first set his eyes on the woman he had no idea would become his bride.  Kacy happen to walk past Ross’s cubical and he did an immediate 180 to see the beauty that just passed by.  Though there was a mutual attraction, the two became friends for about three years playing volleyball on the beach, taking trips to Gainesville to watch the Gators play, hours talking on the phone and hanging out with mutual friends.  Through their long chats “just as friends” they began to have deep conversations about their personal walks with God, their goals, advice, etc.  While everyone encouraged them to date, they simply remained friends and Ross soon left to move to south Florida for work.  They continued to speak every month or so, and through Kacy’s encouragement, Ross started attending church and grew into a deep relationship with Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  It was during this time that Ross learned to put God first, while at the same time Kacy was also drawing nearer to God.  Although both of them did not realize it at the time, God was using this period to prepare them for one another. It wasn’t until they reconnected while Ross was in Jacksonville during a weekend in March 2012, that they realized God’s perfect plan was for them to be together!  Over the holidays, Ross proposed to Kacy in Charleston and now they plan to have a short engagement so excited to begin their lives together and get rid of the distance of being in two different locations.

“We just want God’s presence to be known,” said Kacy when asked about their wedding plans.  ”We just want it to be about Him and how He brought us together.”  Kacy, 32, also wants single girls to be encouraged by her story that true love is worth the wait.  ”You just have to wait on God, I keep telling my girlfriends that,” Kacy said. “As hard as it was to wait, I mean, look at what He brought me in the end, HELLO!  He’s hot!” she said with a giggle and a blush.

Not only is Kacy now one of our lovely brides, she is also one of my best friends, and was a bridesmaid in our wedding, and I couldn’t be happier for my beautiful friend! Here’s some of our favorites from her and Ross’s engagement session!

LizAnne & Reed are married! /// Alma, GA Wedding Photographer

Imagine a field in the middle of nowhere in Georgia… a manor with land that stretches beyond what the eye can see, covered in one blueberry bush after another.  Imagine old church pews of different shapes and sizes and textured wood brought in to circle around a lone giant oak tree…. imagine antique bottles and books and suitcases and sofas and teacups gathered from shops and families that outdo anything you could try to recreate from Pinterest or on Etsy.  Imagine a love so strong that it gathers over 400 people because in a town so small, literally, you know everyone and their families.  This place is Alma, Ga and this love story belongs to LizAnne and Reed on their beautiful wedding day held at a family member’s private manor.

Their love story is 10 years in the making from that night LizAnne first laid eyes on Reed playing guitar in a bar.  A few years later came along the love of their life, Ammons, their adorable son and ring bearer who rocked out his black suspenders and converse shoes on the wedding day.  And now, this December, LizAnne and Reed finally made their wedding worth the wait for family and friends as they gathered in the middle of nowhere on a Southern plantation to celebrate the next chapter of their love story that continues to be written. Just as their love story began that night in the bar when Reed was singing and playing with his band, Reed closed out the wedding reception by jumping on stage and rockin’ out the house before they scooted away under the sparklers in an old vintage car.

Here’s some of our favorites from their day and the awesome vendors we worked with!
